Ghostface Speaks On Group Project With Raekwon & Method Man
Ghostface Killah's been staying busy. Not only is the Shaolin veteran working hard while promoting his latest project Ghostdini: The Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City, but he's also working on a new joint project with longtime friends, business associates and group mates Raekwon [click here] and Method Man [click here]. During a recent interview with HipHopDX, Ghost spoke to HipHopDX about his new release, the group project and much more.
"Yeah, [The Wizard of Poetry] album is older. It’s mature. So, it’s adult situations on it and stuff like that. Some shit that a nigga can go through. On this album right here, I focus a lot on women. I just threw my dart at women and other types of situations, too," he said, citing somewhat of a theme that fans can expect to hear from his latest offering. But, he also added that it is only the first of many "mature" albums to come and that it will usher in the rest of the music.
"As my albums go on, I’ll get to the phase where you gotta talk about 'Nigga, you fucked up,' talking about the men. Or, it could be 'I miss my kids' or it could be 'Yo, we gotta get our morals together,'" he said. "Yeah, [that will come] as time goes on, but, this album is a mature album. This is the album that sets it off for all that shit."
Those interested in more music from Ghost can be at ease. He let us know that he is currently working on the buzzed about group porject with Method Man and Raekwon, who is also currently promoting his latest Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2 [click to read], which features Ghost on many of its tracks, as expected.
“We gonna do that. Yup! We gonna do that,” he said of the Ghostface, Raekwon and Method Man group project, before adding that it isn't completely finished as of yet. “It’s not done yet [but it’s supposed to be released in the] forth quarter somewhere, maybe January or something like that, I think.”
