On Tuesday, September 8 Brooklyn-born rapper Raekwon[click to listen] will hold a star-studded album release party/concert for his upcoming album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. II. The album release party, which will be held at New York City’s Santos Party House, will be hosted by Diddy and HOT97’s Peter Rosenberg. The party is presented by H20 Records and Littles.
Raekwon’s [click to read] album release concert will feature performances by a who’s who of Hip Hop heavyweights including Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Lyfe Jennings, Talib Kweli, Beanie Siegel, Ghostface, and Slick Rick.
“I’m excited about this project. This is a true evolution from where we began. I’m also overwhelmed by the love and support that I’ve received. My long time friend and Hip Hop veteran, Diddy reached out to offer his support and agreed to host the event,” said Raekwon in a statement. “All the artists involved, extended themselves for the release of my long awaited album because we all feel Hip Hop as a whole is in need of unifying. Magazines are closing; online storefronts are struggling because music sales are down. It’s time for Vets like myself to set the trend and strengthen the lane. Dinosaurs like myself are supposed to create the blue print for the new breed to follow.”
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Pt. 2 will be released on September 8 on Raekwon’s Ice H2O Record Label.
