O.C. & A.G. Album Readies, Showbiz Executive Produces
Renowned Hip Hop collective Diggin In The Crates crew members A.G. (Andre the Giant) and O.C. [click to read] are set to release their highly anticipated collaborative album, OASIS.
The joint LP will feature D.I.T.C. crew members Showbiz (also an executive producer) and Lord Finesse, as well as Statik Selektah [click to read].
Not only crew members, but also long time friends, A.G. and O.C. were inspired to put out a collaborative album since recording the 2001 memorable track Weed & Drinks, which was featured on O.C.s Bon Apptit [click to read]. It was organic cause the chemistry was also so crazy, said O.C.
Growing up across the street from legendary lyricist Pharaoh Monch, Queens crew member O.C. was introduced to rhyming and eventually dropped his first debut on Organized Konfusions timeless classic Fudge Pudge in 1991.
Meanwhile, D.I.T.C. emcee A.G. was invited to a Rap battle during school against Lord Finesse, producer of Notorious B.I.G.s Suicidal Thoughts and Dr. Dres The Message, which landed him in Finesses studio after impressing him with his punch lines.
After 10 years and over ten albums later, D.I.T.C. members O.C. and A.G., as well as Showbiz, Diamond D, Lord Finesse, Fat Joe, O.C., Buckwild, and the late Big L, have held it down for the east coast, achieving success collectively and independently as hip hop emcees, deejays and producers.
