Rock City Tells Interscope, "Put the F*cking Album Out"
Their most recent mixtape is called Independence Day and its release will come with a few special events. For the release of this tape, the duo has decided to travel back to the Virgin Islands, where the release party will be held on August 22 at The Mill as part of a Stop the Violence movement.
“Coming home to perform is a blessing,” Theron said in a statement. “To see how the little kids look up to us and how the fans know all of our music is an amazing feeling. No matter where we go, the Virgin Islands are a part of us and we want to support our fans as much as they support us.”
Earlier in the day, Rock City also plans on hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The week before their release party will include stops in local elementary schools, where the duo will speak to children in support of increasing peace.
Both members of Rock City have worked on and/or written music for Usher, Mario, Akon, Sean Kingston, The Pussycat Dolls and more. For more on the group, their PTFAO campaign and to hear some of their music, visit www.PTFAO.com.
