After a quarter century of mixing and scratching on the ones and twos, DMC, the world’s largest deejay organization, will celebrate their 25th Anniversary World DJ Championship. Showcasing some of the globe’s rawest talent, the London event will feature two days of vigorous battles and compelling presentations.

Day one of the event kicks off September 11, 2009 with the renowned Battle For Supremacy Competition featuring last year’s world champion, DJ Switch, and Supremacy title holder DJ Rasp, both representing the United Kingdom, as well as other dominating scratch artists. Team deejaying battles will also take place on day one of DMC’s World DJ Championship, as a new group of DJ’s take reign over preceding winners like C2C, the Scratch Perverts and the Allies.

Legendary Hip Hop turntablist and 2001 DMC DJ Of The Year, DJ Yoda, will be presenting a unique audio visual performance chronicling the past 25 years of DMC. Groundbreaking performances will also include the 2005 DMC USA Supremacy Champion DJ I-Dee, who will be using an innovative “plug and perform” NS7 Numark Performance Controller with Serato ITCH software.

In a revolutionary presentation true to DMC’s style, former member of the X-Ecutioners turntablist group, Rob Swift, will be presenting deejay software Scratch Live, in a piece sponsored Rane and Serato.

This year’s DMC-crowned deejay champs will walk away with prizes from Panasonic, Technics, Numark and Rane, as well as classic DMC Champion jackets in celebration of the 25th Anniversary and much more.

DMC’s 25th Anniversary World DJ Championship takes place September 11 and September 12, 2009 at London’s indigO2 at The O2.
