Judge Rescinds C-Murder Guilty Verdict
The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Judge Hans Liljeberg has ruled the second-degree murder charge against Corey "C-Murder" Miller is invalid. Liljeberg says one juror may have changed his or her vote for the purposes of ending deliberations after the group of jurors was sequestered in a nearby motel for nearly 24 hours [click to read].
Since being accused of killing Steve Thomas in 2002, Miller has had had a life sentence overturned by the Louisiana Supreme Court, had his initial lawyer resign over financial troubles [click to read], and witnessed an associate take responsibility for the shooting which left a 16-year-old dead [click to read].
