After a two year hiatus, Sole & Skyrider Band is making their way back on to the scene preparing for the release of their sophomore album PlastiqueAnticon co-founder and solo emcee Sole addresses a diverse array of issues from politics and the media to outer space and wild life.

The arrangement of lyrics on Plastique is heavily inspired by the last couple of years in which Sole lived in the Coconino National Forest in Arizona, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, phone lines and cellular reception. With Skyrider Band’s musical composition and Son Lux collaborator Doc Harril (Anticon Records) on the mixing board, an eclectic new sound is created with Sole’s lyrics as the main attraction.

In addition to creating Plastique, Skyrider Band drummer John Wagner and producer Bud Berning formed the group Furious Stylz with Anticon label-mate Telephone Jim Jesus, performing regularly at Los Angeles’ Low End Theory. Skyrider’s multi-instrumentalist performer William Ryan Fitch is currently working on film soundtracks and establishing his career as a solo artist.
