Hip Hop Album Sales: The Week Ending 7/26/2009
Eminem's Relapse [click to read] nearly returned to Top 10 this week. The Aftermath effort is still promised to be the first, as 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct and Dr. Dre's Detox are on deck respectively.
Joe's latest, Signature, fell 20 places in its second week on the charts, with nearly identical overall numbers to Chicago veteran Twista [click to read]. Category F5 [click to read] remained Top 20. The effort's digital release on iTunes, includes a Kanye West-produced and featuring bonus song ["Alright" [click to listen]], in addition to a large reunion with longtime production partner The Legendary Traxster.

Maino [click to read] maintained a Top 60 spot with his Atlantic Records debut, If Tomorrow Comes [click to read] past the 35,000 mark. The album continues to work singles with a great deal of radio support. Just under Maino, a newer Def Jam artist, Ace Hood [click to read] has performed similarly on the charts with his sophomore release Ruthless.
Christian Rap made an apperance on the charts, with Philadelphia emcee Da T.R.U.T.H.'s fifth album, The Big Picture nearly breaking the Top 100. Signed to Cross Movement Records, T.R.U.T.H. has previously worked with the likes of Kirk Franklin and Lecrae.
Both Jeremih and Flo Rida continue to perform strongly on the charts. Both major label artists have a wealth of radio support, and campaigns that have passed the 100,000 and 200,000 marks respectively.
