Trae Day Event Marred By Shootings, Five Hurt
After a day [click to read] that was supposed to honor Trae The Truth's value to his Houston community, an automatic weapon shooting reportedly brought police to today's event. Website KeepItTrill [click here] has stated that a shooting in Texas Southern University's parking garage left at least five people struck by gunfire.
The incident is said to have happened at approximately 8:30 pm CST, which was after the day's otherwise smooth show of appreciation to the ABN rapper, said to be joined by a list of peers, politicians and Houston citizens. A fire marshall closed the event 30 minutes prior due to crowding. Still, reports indicate that hundreds were still on hand at the time when automatic rifle shots were heard, and the five were reported injured. Both Local 2 Houston and Fox 26 have confirmed these reports.
