Lil Wayne Hires Former FBI
Geneticist
Lil Wayne has been in the news quite a lot for the entirety of his career. Recently, fans may recall he was in trouble with the law after weapons and drugs were found on his tour bus. Back in 2007, the same thing happened and now it seems some of Weezy's DNA was found on a gun.
However, Wayne disputes that and has decided to take matters into his own hands to hire a former FBI geneticist to assist him in proving his innocence.
According to a news piece featured on The New York Post [click here], the rapper's hiring of Bruce Budowle, a former FBI geneticist, is meant to prove that there wasn't enough evidence on the gun to say it was his.
"Budowle is set to argue that, with too few cells to test conventionally, Manhattan prosecutors relied instead on a problematic test called low copy number typing, according to court papers."
This isn't the first time Lil Wayne has battled against the police with claims that they didn't do their job right. More recently, we reported that he and his lawyer were fighting back in another case where police found drugs and weapons in his tour bus [click here].
