Young Riot says he feels good about the deal. “I been studying them for a minute and watched how they accomplished a lot in a short time. There is a power in that and I’m happy to have it backing me. These guys already got me out of the hood and they believe in me.”
He also feels it is a good fit. “My whole style is Amalgam itself and my music is like the theme music to what the company represents,” Young Riot said. One of his "Amalgam-style" tracks has been chosen to be featured in Don’t Fade Away, an upcoming national film feature starting Ja Rule.
Young Riot, at 20 years old, has also started his own clothing line titled, Y.O.M.P., which stands for Yes On My Planet. Young Riot also started his trademark “YES” movement. “Everything is YES now! It’s self explanatory. Riot is a mash up of diverse styles, lyrics, and concepts. That’s where I’m So YES came from. That’s what I bring,” he said.
