After several public hearings, one part of the Chris Brown-Rihanna courtroom drama will not be broadcast for the world to see—the “Umbrella” singer’s testimony.
Rihanna, 22, is scheduled to take the stand this Monday, June 22 to testify at Brown’s preliminary hearing. However, according to a court spokesperson in Los Angeles, all accounts of Rihanna’s testimony will come from the media inside the courtroom because no TV cameras will be allowed inside.
Los Angeles Criminal Court Judge Patricia Schnegg made the ruling against cameras earlier this week.
Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra has stated several times that his client will cooperate with Los Angeles prosecutors, despite early rumors that she would not testify against Brown.
According to Etra, Rihanna cleared her schedule in case she was called to testify.
Brown, 20 is facing charges of felony assault and making criminal threats stemming from an alleged domestic altercation with Rihanna the weekend of the Grammy Awards.
