On the heels of the release of Jay-Z’s “Death Of Autotune” rapper/producer Wyclef Jean [click to watch] and Nick Cannon [click to read] have released “Mr. Autotune”.

At a time where autotune seems to be becoming less popular, “Mr. Autotune” pokes fun of the current music craze.

In the song Wyclef sings, “I’m Mister Autotune/ If you sing off key/ For a small fee I can make you a celebrity…Then all you gotta do is pay me/ And I will turn this thing into a karaoke party you’ll be a superstar.”

And Nick Cannon adds more comic value to the parodiable song with adlibs like “I wanna make money” and “Do I need singing lessons?”

Although Wyclef has been working on other artist’s albums recently he has not released a studio album since Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant [click to read] which was released on December 4, 2007.
