Charges In DMX Assault Case Dropped
DMX has finally gotten some reprieve from his legal troubles as assault charges were dropped against him yesterday (June 8) morning.
X had been charged with felony attempted aggravated assault for an altercation with a Tent City Jail guard, according to AllHipHop.com. The rapper was serving 90 days for animal cruelty and fraud charges.
The assault charges were dropped after X pleaded guilty, and received no further reprimand for the transgression, save 18 months of supervised probation.
"DMX is standing on the corner eating a hot dog at the court house in Phoenix and is now a free man," said a representative for the rapper. He is happy to be free and ready to begin his new life."
