Suge Knight Receives A Cease And Desist Over Label Name

When Suge Knight [click to watch] decided to name his new record company Blackball Records it turns out he wasn’t the only one to have chosen that particular name.

Celebrity gossip site TMZ reports that Black Ball Records, another record company, has issued a cease and desist letter to Knight urging him to change his record company’s name.

According to Black Ball Records, who claim to have had their name since 2002, Knight [click to read] has infringed on their copyrights to the name.

Knight began using the name Blackball Records for his company’s name since 2008 and his people even attempted to copyright the name in 2006, but stopped the process earlier this year.

Both parties have attempted to come to an agreement, but to no avail. The copyright issues between the two companies will more than likely be settled by the trademark office.
