Eminem Storms Out Of MTV Movie Awards After Prank Goes Wrong
In a bizarre set of events on Sunday night, Eminem abruptly left the MTV Movie Awards after a peculiar and strangely embarrassing encounter with Sacha Baron Cohen (of Borat fame).
After performing “We Made You” [click to listen] and “Crack A Bottle” [click to listen], Em sat in the audience with friends and bodyguards. Cohen, (who appeared as “Bruno,” a flamboyant fashion reporter) opted not to go onstage the old fashioned way; instead the actor flew in above the award show’s audience on a wire, dressed as an angel with his rear end exposed.
Cohen, claiming technical difficulties, crash-landed right onto Em’s lap, his bare rear in the rapper’s face. Eminem seemed visibly upset as he may not have been warned by MTV about the joke [click to watch]. It is unclear whether he knew about the prank prior to the show’s commencement.
Visibly disgusted and cursing, Eminem stormed out with the rest of his entourage.
