Throughout the week rumors of an alleged marriage between rapper T.I. [click to read] and his longtime girlfriend and former Xscape member Tameka “Tiny” Cottle have run rampant. But an unnamed source has revealed to The Urban Daily [click here] that the couple has in fact wed.

“It’s been a crazy situation around here with all that has been taking place,” a source explained to The Urban Daily. “In regards to Tiny and T.I., yes they are officially husband and wife. It recently took place in a very private ceremony with only members of the immediate family and certain members of the Grand Hustle family.”

According to the source the wedding trip, which took place on an island off the coast of Miami, was covered up as a family vacation to elude the media. 

Tiny and T.I. have been together since 2001 and the newly-wed couple has two children together.

On May 26 [click to read] T.I. turned himself into a federal prison in Forrest City, Arkansas to begin his year and a day sentence.

T.I.’s [click to read] year and a day sentence stems from an incident in which the rapper was caught attempting to buy machine guns and silencers in 2007.

UPDATE: Atlantic Records' Sydney Margetson, who has worked closely with T.I., told Sister 2 Sister magazine that these reports are false, despite Essence Magazine and The Urban Daily's initial reports.
