Lil Kim Plans Book About Prison Sentence

Hip Hop veteran and "Queen B" Lil Kim announced to the Post Chronicle that she intends to secure a publishing deal. Known for her relationship to Notorious B.I.G. as well as several acclaimed albums, the Brooklyn-born emcee intends to write about her experiences in 2005 and 2006, while incarcerated in Philadelphia's Federal Detention Center, for purgery charges from a 2001 shooting.

Having appeared recently on Dancing With The Stars, the rapper, who received five mics from The Source magazine for her 2005 album The Naked Truth [click to read], Lil Kim's been quiet about plans to release a formal album. Instead, the Junior M.A.F.I.A. co-founder will reportedly title her book The Price of Loyalty.

She told the Chronicle, "It's about the things I learned and went through...You don't think about things until it happens to you. The book is going to give people who have been in those situations a bright outlook on life."

Publishers and dates have yet to be revealed.
