Hennessy And Swizz Beatz Team Up For New Cognac

Swizz Beatz has been recruited by Hennessy V.S. to assist in the launch of a limited line of cognac called Hennessy Black.

According to Billboard.com, Swizzy will by performing his song, "When I Step Into the Club" alongside the JabbaWockeez of "America's Best Dance Crew" fame for a launch event in New York on May 5.

In addition to the performance, a Hype Williams-directed video for the song will be premiered [click to watch].

"Beatz is a long-time fan of the brand and approached us looking for ways we could work together. Since this product is all about having fun in the club, he suggested collaborating on a track that would be a hot dance song in the clubs," said Andy Glaser, senior VP of Hennessy Business.

In addition, Hennessy will oversee a dance contest titled "Up/Down" on their YouTube channel, where fans can put their dance skills on display for a chance to be flown to Los Angeles, where Hype Williams will film them and cut them into a new version of the video for "When I Step Into the Club."

"Today is an ideal time to launch a new product -- consumers are increasingly seeking new and different ideas that can excite them," said Glaser of the drink, which has a blend of Jasmine, daffodils and orange flowers mixed with citris, honey and grapes.
