According to Variety, in a Los Angeles court yesterday (April 22), a judge announced that the release of the Lil Wayne documentary Tha Carter will continue despite a lawsuit made by the New Orleans native.

Last month Lil Wayne brought up a lawsuit against production company QD3 Entertainment when the rapper was denied the right to approve content for the film.

In July 2008, it was announced that there would be a documentary on the life of Lil Wayne. Produced by QD3 Entertainment, the documentary focuses on the career and personal life of the New Orleans-born rapper.

Although Lil Wayne attempted to sue the production company, he did have some involvement in the documentary. Tha Carter features interviews with Lil Wayne along with friends and family of the rapper.
