Hip Hop Album Sales: The Week Ending 4/19/2008
Pop princess Hannah Montana assumed the #1 spot again, after a week at #2. Bad Boy Records' Day 26 [click to read] shocked some with a debut #2 position of their latest, Forever In A Day. L.O.X./D-Block member Jadakiss [click to read] fell three spots in a second week of his The Last Kiss [click to read]. Jada inches closer to the 200,000 mark, impressive for the Def Jam artist.
Keri Hilson's In A Perfect World... [click to read] remained in the Top 15 for a fourth week, maintaining her status as Interscope's present R&B flagship artist, with considerable radio and video play. Hip Hop favorite Prince fell to Top 15, with his Target-exclusive three-album set, LOtUSFLOW3R independent project. The-Dream closed out the top five selling urban artists, with his Love Vs. Money [click to read] sophomore album, another Def Jam product. The work, selling 20,000 a week at this point, may stretch to go gold.

The record was just units above MIMS' [click to read] sophomore, Guilt [click to read], a EMI major label release.
