Kid Cudi, the rapper behind the hit song “Day N Nite” has finally found a label to call home. On April 15, it was announced that the Ohio-born rapper will be joining Universal Motown.

Without the assistance of any major label, Kid Cudi has managed to begin a successful career. His song “Day N Nite” has managed to stay on the Billboard charts for an impressive 96 weeks, peaking at the number seven spot on the Pop 100 chart. The song is also a Top 5 download on iTunes.

Currently, Kid Cudi is working on wrapping up his debut album Man on the Moon: The Guardian. The album is expected to be released later summer 2009.

Aside from wrapping up his debut album, Kid Cudi also has plans on starting his own label entitled Dream On with friends Emile and Plain Pat.
