Gucci Mane Returns With New Mixtape
Gucci Mane [click to read] has recently been released from jail. To celebrate, he unveiled a video in which he discusses a new mixtape, Writing on the Wall with DJ Holiday. The tape comes after his release from prison and marks a return for Gucci Mane's to the rap scene.
"I got a lot of love," Gucci said of his jail time and cell mates.
In his absence, fans have remained loyal and he says he is not surprised by the fact.
"I appreciate the love. I ain't really surprised about it. I work hard," he added.
In 2005, Gucci Mane was sentenced to complete 600 hours of unpaid work after he struck a concert promoter with a pool cue, a crime which he was found guilty of. In 2008, he was sentenced to jail because he only served 25 of those 600 hours [click to read]. He was released on Saturday, March 14, 2009.
Gucci still has two-and-a-half years of probation and another 600 hours of community service. His new mixtape, Writing on the Wall is coming soon.
