TV and radio host Ralph McDaniels, also known as Uncle Ralph, has always had a knack for Hip Hop entrepreneurialism. Starting in the early 80s as an aspiring deejay, McDaniels has since become an influential character in New York through his time with Hot 97, creating the Video Music Box show, and co-founding onfumes.com.

The latter two projects, which McDaniels has since combined as an online component to give music cravers the best rap acts the underground has to offer, will now feature a new live show every Sunday at 5:00 pm EST. Viewers can tune in to watch and listen to Uncle Ralphs radio show in real time. More details on Video Music Box Online are available at onfumes.com.

In other news, as part of their Easy 10 Filmmaker Series, carmakers Scion premiered an exclusive documentary in Los Angeles last month entitled BDK, which pays homage to Big Daddy Kane [click to read] and his legacy in Brooklyn [click to view]. Directed by producer Anthony Marshall, the documentary follows Kane spending time in his neighborhood, meeting with past friends, and explaining the powerful influence he left in Hip Hop.

Receiving outstanding reviews, Scion has recently released the film for viewing on their official Web site. While its running time is under 17 minutes, the documentary is jam packed with information about the life of an emcee who is arguably one of the greatest lyricists of all time.

Discussing the praise he receives on a daily basis from people young and old on the documentary, Kane states, I think its beautiful because it [shows] music going through generations. Continuing, he adds, I think stuff like that is very important because when music goes on, you introduce it to the younger generation and make them aware of where it came from, so we dont lost our heritage; we dont lose what we created.
