C-Murder has returned to jail after allegedly violating the terms of his house arrest.
The rapper, who is accused of shooting and murdering16-year-old Steve Thomas during a 2002 altercation at the nightclub, was sent to Jefferson Parish jail yesterday (March 9).
C-Murder‘s electronic monitor indicated that he was outside the range of his house for a period greater than ten minutes, thereby violating the rules set forth for his house arrest, according to Deputy Chief Chuck Whitmer of the Gretna Police Department.

According to prosecutors, this is not C-Murder‘s first time violating his house arrest. His lawyer, Ron Rakosky, tells a different story, however. Rakosky claims his client was home asleep during the alleged violation.
The 37-year-old rapper is set to stand trial for Thomas‘ murder for the second time. He was granted a second trial when it was revealed that prosecutors withheld the criminal records of three of their witnesses.
C-Murder‘s second trial will begin on April 20. If convicted, he will serve life in prison.
