Rapper/singer/guitarist/Fugee Wyclef Jean has signed a one-year deal with Pepsi Cola to endorse Pepsi. He will appear in tv, radio and print ads, as well as doing in-store promotions. He will also write original music, presumably about the cola, and perform a rendition of “The Joy of Pepsi.”

Wyclef’s first tv commercials will start to air in the coming weeks. The first is called “Brazil” and features the musician on the beach of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He encounters a small local boy and begins dancing to samba beats and drinking Pepsi.

This is the first time Wyclef has ever endorsed anything.
