Private Investigator Sues R. Kelly

R. Kelly's legal troubles continue, as the singer is now being sued.

TMZ.com reports that a private investigator is claiming that Kelly failed to pay him $300,000 for services rendered.

According to a lawsuit filed in Missouri federal court, Charles Freeman says he was hired during Kelly's trial to "obtain and/or recover certain tapes that were said to incriminate" the singer.

Freeman is suing for damages plus interests and costs.

In June of 2008, R. Kelly was acquitted of 14 counts of child pornography [click to read]. If convicted, he faced up to 15 years in prison.
