After a tumultuous start to the year that has seen her engaged in a war of words with Faith Evans and Voletta Wallace [click to read], Lil Kim has joined the cast of ABC‘s “Dancing With The Stars.” The “Queen Bee” will be the first female Hip Hop artist, and the second emcee in the show’s history following No Limit‘s Master P.

Despite a diminished profile after her 2005 prison stint, a murder that occurred at her thirty third birthday [click to read] and the recent Notorious fiasco, the appearance is a continuance of milestones for the Brooklyn-bred rapper/actor.

Kim also holds the distinction of being one of only three female rappers with a #1 Billboard hit (2001’s “Lady Marmalade”). Former NFL star Lawrence Taylor, Folk singer Jewel, actor/comedian David Alan Grier and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will also appear on this season’s installment of the popular show. The eighth season of “Dancing With The Stars” premiers March 9 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
