Exile Talks "Radio"
Speaking with Urb.com, Exile discussed the significance of his album, possible collaborations, and a creative live show that he hopes will bring followers.
With the boundaries of Hip Hop being endless, Exile explained his mind state in regards to the creation of Radio. Hip Hop was made from nothing, and I think I ran with that spirit on this album by making it totally off of the radio. I think that is very Hip Hop.
Noting that the possibility of releasing a vocal version of the album is not out of the picture, Exile offered a list of artists who would likely jump on the project. Blu, C0$$, Aloe, Fashawn, J.O.H.A.Z., Jay Mitchell, and then there might be some extra goodies with people outside of that camp.
While Exile has definitely stayed connected to his Cali roots, hes more than open to work with artists not from the west coast, like DXs 2008 Rookie of the Year, Wale [click to read]. There have been talks about doing something with Wale; it hasn't happened yet, but I am sure it will.
Much like a performance done at Knox College late last year [click to watch], Exile is looking to integrate his beloved MPC onto the main stage. I am really trying to make the MPC work as a live instrument to the best of my ability. [DJ Dave and I] are putting together a live MPC show that won't be irritating. [People] can watch it or dance to this type of shit.
The full interview with Exile can be checked out at Urb.com or by clicking here. Radio hits stores and online retailers today (January 20).
