MC Hammer Launches DanceJam Content Site

Multi-platinum rap and dance sensation MC Hammer is back, and no he is not rapping. Hammer plans to launch a video website, in the same vein of YouTube, that will broadcast their own dance performances.

Hammer, now 45, known for seminal rap hit "You Can't Touch This," spent most of his recent time as a preacher and TV presenter, but now he hopes to take on the internet with the new site called, DanceJam.com.

With the dominance of YouTube and the quality of other video sites, analysts believe Hammers site will have a hard time taking off.

"When people are looking for any video, whether it be about skateboarding, dancing or a science project, they don't stop to think about where's the best place to find it," said James McQuivey of Forrester Research.

"They just start off by going to YouTube."

A confident Hammer appears unaffected by such predictions. He told the Associated Press, There is no high-tech lingo or business strategy that you can talk that is above my head. I breathe this stuff."
