Hip Hop Live: Week Ending 1/16/2009

Welcome back to Hip Hop Live, where you get the latest on Hip Hop shows everywhere! Lil Wayne starts this week’s shows off in his hometown of New Orleans, LA tonight (Jan. 11) at the New Orleans Arena at 7:00 PM.

The Wu-Tang Clan continues to tour this week with a show tonight at 8:00 PM in Charlotte, NC at the Amos Southend. Indie artist Necro makes his way to Whisky in Hollywood, CA on Tuesday (Jan. 13) at 7:00 PM, while Souls of Mischief, Bukue One, Alphabet Stew and Serendipity Project join at Berbati’s Pan in Portland, OR the same night at 9:00 PM.

Wednesday (Jan. 14) night sees another performance by the Wu at Plush in Jacksonville, FL at 8:00 PM, while Nappy Roots perform at Reggie Rock Club in Chicago, IL at 8:00 PM. Concluding Wednesday’s shows are Souls of Mischief, who can be seen at the Nectar Lounge in Seattle, WA at 9:00 PM.

George Clinton rolls on with a tour stop at the House of Blues Cleveland in Cleveland, OH on Thursday (Jan. 15) at 8:00 PM. 8 Ball and MJG perform at Piere’s in Fort Wayne, IN the same night at 10:00 PM. Lil Wayne and The Wu-Tang Clan each have one more stop on Friday (Jan. 16); Wayne can be found at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY at 7:00 PM, and the Wu-Tang Clan at the Jannus Landing Courtyard in St. Petersburg, FL at 7:00 PM. Nappy Roots close the week with a performance at the Grog Shop in Cleveland, OH on Friday at 9:00 PM.

Finally, Hip Hop Live’s Livest Show of the Week…

…is Aesop Rock, El-P and Cage at the Pipeline Café in Honolulu, Hi on Friday (Jan. 16) at 9:30 PM!
