Flo Rida Finds His R.O.O.T.S. On Sophomore Album

With the 2008 release of his debut album Mail on Sunday and around 4.5 million digital downloads for his hit single “Low,” [click to read] Flo Rida has most certainly become a hot commodity for the Hip Hop/club scene. In 2009, Flo Rida is looking to keep his musical buzz prevalent with his sophomore effort R.O.O.T.S.

According to Billboard, R.O.O.T.S. (Routes of Overcoming the Struggle) will feature production from Dr. Luke, J Rock, and “Low” creator DJ Montay. The first single off of R.O.O.T.S., “Right Round,” builds its hook around the 1985 number-one UK hit “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” by Liverpool new wave rockers Dead or Alive. “Right Round” is currently streaming on his website www.officialflo.com and as well on his official MySpace page.

R.O.O.T.S. has a tentative release date of April 7 through Poe Boy/Atlantic Records.
