Coroner Determines Dr. Dre's Son Died Of Overdose

Authorities have determined the August death of Dr. Dre's 20-year-old son, Andre Young Jr. [click to read] was caused by an overdose of heroin and morphine. On Sunday, August 24, Young was found dead in his bedroom. After a lengthy investigation, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office closed the case and released findings which ruled Young's death as accidental.

Young was reportedly found dead by his mother at home after spending a night out with friends. During the time of Young's death, Dr. Dre released an initial statement asking for respect and privacy; he has not publicly spoken on the matter since.
