UK Radio Deejay Suspended After Playing "Arab Money"
Galaxy FMs Steve Sutherland, winner of the 2002 and 2006 MOBO Award for "Best UK DJ," has been suspended after playing Arab Money this past weekend. Global Radio, a private company that owns Galaxy FM, received several complaints concerning the content of Arab Money, which subsequently led to the suspension of Sutherland. The producer for Sutherlands show, which airs in Birmingham, Manchester, Yorkshire, and also Scotland, has been suspended as well.
Galaxy FM has since apologized to their listeners through a statement on their website. Galaxy would like to apologize to all our listeners for the airing of this song. It was never Galaxys intent to offend its listeners and never will be. It continues, A full internal investigation has now commenced. Galaxy would like to apologize for any offense however unintentionally caused.
