While Kanye West got into a war of words with 50 Cent over album sales last year, the Chicago rapper isn’t concerned about doing big numbers for his latest effort, 808s & Heartbreak.

While the work, West’s fourth studio effort, is sure to be in the running among top selling albums, creating “great art” trumped commercial success this time around.

“You know people sometimes don’t understand great art when they first hear it, but I am very confident in it,”West told the Associated Press. “Whether it sells as much as the last one, or way more, I feel like I am just successful in doing something I felt really good about.”
