J. Period Links With Activision To Score Tony Hawk Game

DJ J. Period, who has worked on everything from mixtapes to movie trailers, will now be stepping his game up to score a video game soundtrack. J. Period has been commissioned by gaming company Activsion to produce the entire soundtrack for the new game Tony Hawks Motion.

The skating moguls latest game will be accompanied by a sample free mash of Hip Hop, Rock and urban soundscapes.

"I am thrilled to be part of the Tony Hawks Motion project, said J. Period. I was truly honored to be given the responsibility of crafting the entire soundtrack for game playexclusive tracks.

Activison
released statement that shared the delight, "J. Period has meticulously crafted an incredible collection of exclusive and original tracks that capture the essence of the Tony Hawk experience, said Tim Riley, Vice President of Music Affairs at Activision, Inc.

J. Period collaborated with Rock guitarist Yohimbe Sampson and Jesse Blum, who have worked with the deejay on previous mixtapes, in order to create the unique blend.

Period explained how he can only go up from here. I dont know any other mixtape DJ who is taking it to that level." J. Period will be releasing his debut studio album sometime in 2009.

Tony Hawks Motion
is in stores today exclusively for Nintendo DS.
