I want to be everything a street nigga ain’t supposed to be,
Plies told VIBEs Benjamin Meadows-Ingram in the interview.
A street nigga ain’t supposed to be professional. A successful street
nigga ain’t supposed to be humble, they’re supposed to shit on
everybody. A true street nigga, he ain’t supposed to be a responsible
father–the street’s is all he’s supposed to be focused on. A street
nigga ain’t supposed to be educated. Everything that a true street
nigga ain’t supposed to be, that’s what I want to be.

Also included in the December issue of VIBE are interviews with R&B artists Brandy and Maxwell.

Plies‘ latest album, Da REAList, will be released on December 16.
