Political figures, however, are not the only ones currently concerned with political matters. Although Hip Hop artists have demonstrated an overwhelming amount of interest in this particular years election, rappers have always been willing to aggressively address the topics of their era.
To celebrate the final debate and to mark the last three weeks of campaigning before the end of the 08 elections, URB.com has put together a fun, yet relevant list of 10 rap songs that focus on some of Americas most heated discussions.
Included on the list is Eminems Guilty Conscience featuring Dr. Dre [click to read]. The record, and essentially, the whole Slim Shady era, deals with issues such as poverty, statutory rape, domestic abuse, and of course, gay marriage. Jay-Z also makes the list with his single 99 Problems [click to read], which comments on the rights of citizens in the face of an uncompromising police force.
The list also highlights Notorious B.I.G.s Warning, Estelles American Boy, and The Roots You Got Me.
