Hip Hop Live: Week Ending 10/10/08

Welcome back to Hip HopLive! This week kicks it off with tonight’s (Oct. 4) 7:00 PM show with Common at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, NY. Young Jeezy also hits the stage tonight, with a 9:00 PM show at Murat Theatre in Indianapolis, IN. Dem Fanchize Boyz make it out to Fargo, ND for an 8:30 PM show tonight at the Fargo, Civic Memorial Auditorium. Rounding out tonight’s performances are Common Market [click to read] featuring Bambu, U-N-I and Now On at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, CA.

T-Pain [click to read] hits Towson, MD for a 7:00 PM show on Sunday (Oct. 5) at the Towson Center Arena. The same night, the Strictly Strange Tour featuring Tech N9ne, Skatterman, and Snug Brim makes its way to Wilma Theatre in Missoula, MT at 8:00 PM. Also at 8:00 PM is the Hip Hop Live! tour featuring Talib Kweli, David Banner and more at Showbox at the Market in Seattle, WA. Completing the trifecta of 8:00 PM shows are Ill Bill and Sean Price tomorrow night at WOW Hall in Eugene, OR.

The Kent State Auditorium in Kent, OH will be hosting Lupe Fiasco on Tuesday (Oct. 7) at 8:00 PM. Meanwhile, in Lupe’s home city of Chicago, IL, Nelly  [click to read] performs at the House of Blues Chicago at 10:30 PM. Murs [click to read] tours in support of his new album, Murs for President [click to read] with a Tuesday night show at The Independent in San Francisco, CA at 9:00 PM.

Fans of Pete Rock [click to read] will be disappointed to hear that the Hip Hop legend’s Wednesday (Oct. 8) performance at S.O.B.’s in New York, NY will be cancelled. S.O.B’s will, however, be hosting Styles P. featuring Blitz the Ambassador and K-Salaam as planned on Thursday (Oct. 9) at 9:00 PM.

And as always, Hip Hop Live’s Livest Show of the Week:

The Roots and Gym Class Heroes with special guest Estelle on Wednesday (Oct. 8) at 7:30 PM at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, FL.
