DJ Babu has been a recognized deejay with works on a variety of projects including the acclaimed pieces he’s done as a member of the Beat Junkies and Dilated Peoples. The west coast deejay has amplified his work by releasing his Duck Season series, incorporating work from artists across the nation.
The third installment of the Duck Season series is set to be released soon. With the series, Babu has managed to showcase his own production. Now, with a new installment on the brink of release, he’s ready to unveil the track-list and the list of featured artists.
In a statement released to the press, Babu spoke on what the album means for him.
“It started out as a mixtape that featured some of my favorite tracks,” he noted. “Now it has fully evolved into a platform of my own production. The album is still presented in the classic Beat Junkie mixtape style, but that’s just a clever way for me to disguise my LP.”
The album features many acts that decided to celebrate Duck Season 3 along with Babu. MF DOOM, Little Brother, Sean Price, M.O.P., Evidence and Guilty Simpson are only some of the guests appearing on the album.
