The untimely death of Lisa Left Eye Lopes in 2002 had brought an end to a career that was still blossoming. At 30 years of age, Lopes was cut short from following her aspirations as a solo artist with only one album, Supernova, released exclusively in Europe and Asia in 2001. Besides some Death Row Records soundtrack work (under the name N.I.N.A.), since then, no music of hers has been released out of respect for the passing artist, until now.

Mass Appeal Entertainment has announced today that Left Eyes last solo project will be released finally. Entitled Eye-Legacy, the album will feature 12 tracks of unreleased material from Lopes, with collaborations from past friends and inspired artists alike including Missy Elliot, Tupac Shakur, Chamillionaire, Lil Mama, and Bobby Valentino.

In a statement for Left Eye supporters around the world, the Lopes family explained that this project was meant to be released for her fans, whether new or old. We hope people understand the message in Lisas music and appreciate her as not just a member of TLC, but as a solo artist as well. This album is Left Eyes musical gift to her fans and adds to the beauty of her legacy, said the Lopes family.

The first single off the new album will be Lets Just Do It, featuring Missy Elliot.

Eye Legacy is expected to come out in stores November 11th through Mass Appeal Entertainment/Koch Records.
