Lil Wayne Skips VMA After Parties For Court
"He is the utmost, consummate professional," Weezy's lawyer Stacey Richman said of the flight. "He recognizes his entertainment obligations, his business obligations and his obligations to the court."
In 2007, his tour bus was stopped and searched by police. After the search, a gun was found and that landed Wayne with one count of criminal possession of a weapon.
According to Diane Hornung, an officer on the scene, the marijuana smell coming from the vehicle made them suspicious. Once they stopped and searched, she claims to have seen Weezy in his underwear, attempting to hide a gun in a bag.
Now, Wayne's lawyer notes that the hearing hopes to investigate whether or not the stop, search and questioning was properly done or if it was illegal.
