Controversy ensued last year when a video showing singer Akon tossing a 15-year old boy off of a stage during the June 2007 Fishkill, New York concert made its rounds on the Internet [click to read].
Now, the singer is due in court December 1 for the incident, where he is charged with one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a minor and one count of second-degree harassment.
While awaiting the trial, it appears that Akon has repeated his mistake not once, but twice. Footage has recently made its way online showing Akon shoving two female fans off of a stage after a bout of crowd surfing.
The video is a little unclear in showing whether Akon actually shoves the fans or hits them; however, it is unmistakable that he knocked them off of the stage.
The incident took place on Saturday (Sept. 6) during a concert in Guyana, South America.
The video can be watched here.
UPDATE: A video provided by Akon's management, posted below, shows another side of the story.
A representative from the promoter said, "We are shocked to hear that there is a video clip circulating that suggests Akon treated a fan badly during his August 30th performance in Guyana. There were no incident reports stemming from the event. Despite a late start, the concert was a tremendous success and we hope that Akon will come back soon."
