Days after a straight-to-DVD sequel to New Jack City was reported [click to read], another '90s crime film favorite by Hip Hop culture is being furthered.

Released on DVD last week, Belly 2, produced by Czar Entertainment in conjunction with Lions Gate Films, will star The Game and The Wire's Michael K. Williams. Cast and crew details have yet to be made available.

Czar founder Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond said, "It's imperative when doing delicate and inspiring projects such as [this], that all of the involved parties from the network, the film distributors, the business partners and of course, the artists, all share the same level of enthusiasm and excitement for the end product."

The Game's third official studio album, L.A.X., is planned for release next week.
