Amid rumors, documents, and an overall attempt of ruining the validity of Rick Ross street career, the "Boss" has maintained his composure through it all, albeit with lips sealed in the past week.

That changed in a recent interview with Power 98.3 in Phoenix, Arizona, where Ross once again shot down the correctional officer past that some accuse him of lying about.

Being the "Boss," Ross found it easy for his character to come under scrutiny as he is currently one of the top acts in the rap business. When you get to my level, youre a great conversation piece. Im big on the blogs, Im big on the magazines, and I appreciate that as an artist. Thats why Im in the game. I got in this game to entertain people and to make great music. And thats what its about.

With that said, Rick Ross claims he isnt susceptible to sharing his success with people who attempt to put him in a bad light. In the game we in, its real competitive. And competitors gotta do whatever they gotta do to eat. We making the best music. Yall seen the BET Awards, yall seen the magazine. We the biggest in the game, we the best in the game. Just keeping it real. And anytime somebody can attack my character, like I said, you get nothing from the Boss. I dont give haters the pleasure. Just keep the rumors coming.

As if to put a nail in the subject, Ross provided a direct reason as to why his music speaks the truth. Like I said, Im one of the realest sources of this real street music in this game. Straight out of Miami, straight out of M-I-Yayo. One of my closest homies was on Americas Most Wanted. Ross ended the interview with a proclamation to his supporters by stating, Dont believe the hype.

Though speculation and accusations will inevitably continue, it will be interesting to see if Rick Ross chooses to prove how he spent his time as an early adult, the same period during which others considered him a correctional officer.
