Remaining in headlines for all the wrong reasons, DMX went to court yesterday (July 24) to enter a plea of “not guilty” to felony charges of theft and identity theft.
According to the Associated Press,X took some time outside of the Phoenix, AZ courtroom to rap as a response for being asked to comment on the hearing: “If and when you ever fall down, get back up … Stand for something or
fall for everything. Wait for the right pitch, you’ll miss every
swing,” he rapped.
DMX’s lawyer, Charles Kozelka, pulled him away as X told reporters to look out for his next album.

The 37-year-old rapper appeared in court in a black T-shirt, jeans and a gold chain, and was reproached by the judge for flashing a peace sign at a court camera.
Authorities say that X gave the name “Troy Jones” and a false Social Security number to a Scottsdale hospital in April – presumably to avoid paying the $7,500 medical bill [click to read].
DMX’s latest project is a Hip Hop album titled Walk With Me Now, which will be followed by a gospel album titled You’ll Fly With Me Later, both to be released on Bodog Music.Currently, the former is slated for a release date of October 14.

“We wouldn’t work with DMX period if we didn’t believe he was just a
victim of circumstance,” said Peter Karroll, president of Bodog Music.
“The sheriff in Phoenix is definitely targeting him. It’s unbelievable.”
DMX is due back in court August 12 for multiple charges of drug possession and cruelty for animals in Phoenix.
