According to various sources, Oakland rapper Keak Da Sneak was arrested
late last week on July 10 in Sacramento and charged with resisting
arrest and carrying a firearm.
Due to the fact that he had an outstanding warrant, Keak Da Sneak will have to remain in jail until bail is posted.
On July 14, Keak faced a magistrate judge regarding the charges he was given.
Considered a Hyphy pioneer to many in the Bay area, Keak Da Sneak has released several albums since his solo debut Sneakacydal was released in 1999 and last appeared on E-40's 2006 hit "Tell Me When To Go." He was also a member of group 3xKrazy, which released albums on Virgin Records in the late '90s.
Most recently, Keak Da Sneak released his latest album Deified on Koch Records in June. The album featured appearances from Prodigy [click to read] and The Alchemist.
