Hip Hop Album Sales: Week Ending 7/13/08

Lil Wayne continues his stronghold on the charts selling 124,600 copies of Tha Carter III this week putting him about 200,000 units away from double platinum. Rihanna's re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad climbs up yet another spot to #8 selling 47,100 copies. Following up right behind Rihanna is G-Unit at #9. Terminate On Sight sold 36,300 copies this week. Usher's Here I Stand comes in at #11 with 33,200 sold, while Three Six Mafia's Last To Walk rounds out the Top 5 Hip Hop/ R&B artists at #16 with just under 24,400 sold.

Sales slow down as Plies drops to #17 this week. Definition of Real sold 24,000 copies. Tech N9ne takes a large drop from #12 to #34 with Killer selling 13,400 units. Rick Ross' Trilla holds the #52 spot with 10,000 sold. Jim Jones & The Bryd Gang take a staggering fall on the charts from #29 last week to #110 this week. Their M.O.B album sold 6,200 units. Killer Mike's newest effort, dubbed a "classic" by Mike himself, entered the charts at #178 this week with 3,500 copies sold.
