Akon Teams Up With Singer For Website
Akon and singer/composer Peter Buffet have joined forces to launch a website with the goal of providing practical ways to positively impact the world around them.
According to Eurweb.com, the website serves as a forum for users to share their ideas for giving back, as well as what they hope to accomplish around the world.
"I didn't know who Peter was when we met, and he didn't know anything about me," said Akon. "That's the thing that makes our work together genuine: It's based simply on our desire to encourage people to do something."
Akon and Buffet first worked together when Akon remixed Buffet's song "Anything," from his 2007 album Staring At The Sun. The song is about trips to post-war Liberia and Sierra Leone.
The duo's next project will be a song titled "Can We Love," which will be on Buffet's Imaginary Kingdom, due in stores Sept. 9.
