Album From Lost Perceptionists
Member To Release
DJ Fakts One joined Mr. Lif and Akrobatik [click to read] as a member of short-lived but critically-acclaimed group The Perceptionists. The outfit released Black Dialogue [click to read] in 2005, and toured internationally.
During that time, DJ Fakts One was hard at work on his solo debut, Long Range for Coup D'Etat Entertainment. As the label, who had also signed Rob Swift, stalled on the release then subsequently folded, a dejected Fakts vanished from Hip Hop.
Almost four years later, Long Range is releasing and Fakts One is nowhere to be found. Both Lif and Akrobatik have stated that they were "stranded" on tour with no deejay, as Fakts removed his place from the group, and Hip Hop.
To be released on Greenstreets Entertainment, Long Range will come on July 22nd in its intended sequencing, mixing and format. Original cover art was reacquired, along with three bonus songs, two of which are instrumentals which the label reportedly struggled to find.
A representative from the label told HipHopDX, "I tried to get Fakts involved and see if he wanted to comment on the music, his time in the Hip Hop scene, but he is 100% missing, I mean I know he's around and I spoke to EVERYONE from his old circle and NO ONE could get a hold of him for me."
Long Range features Little Brother, Army of Pharaohs, Boot Camp Clik, Souls of Mischief and others.
